About Us
Takeichi New Zealand
Takeichi is a Japanese Chicken Ramen franchise with it's roots in Tokyo and branches stretching across Japan, Asia, and as far as Europe. Our Dunedin restaurant opened in October 2020 and is the first in Australasia, owned and operated by Yuya and Gillian Sugiyama who wanted to bring an authentic Japanese dining experience back to Gillian's hometown of Dunedin.
Our Food
Our signature chicken ramen soups are made using the same recipes and cooking techniques as Takeichi stores across Japan and around the world. We also offer a range of side and rice dishes to suit every palate, all using high-quality local and Japanese products.
Our Facilities
Our newly renovated building is centrally located and fitted out to give a modern Japanese feel. The dining area is spacious and features an origami station, games, and manga to keep children and the young-at-heart busy.
We also have a lounge area which can be reserved for dining and functions.
There is also an NZCT Gaming Lounge (R18) on site.
